MASTA (Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad) is the leading provider of standardised, quality travel advice to the Medical Profession, Industry and Government in Australia since 1989.
MASTA has put its Travel Health Brief on Line. This can have up to 10 countries on an itinerary and will result in a single integrated Health Brief covering recommended vaccines, seasonal diseases advice, malaria endemicity maps, through to travel kit items to consider.
MASTA has made it easy for its subscribers to get on line - all subscribers can switch over at no cost and still get their 50 health briefs This is the same as an annual subscription but if the 50 briefs are used then a new subscription is due.
This is the same service that we offer to phone & fax users, however there are many more benefits available on the web at the cost of a local call.
MASTA online has, in addition to this Travel Health Brief, the following:
• News section covering outbreaks, vaccine & medication protocols and general travel news, library giving briefs on medications, vaccines & Fact Sheets for diseases (From Altitude Sickness to Yellow Fever)
• The Health Brief and any other relevant data for that patient can (by copy and paste) then be integrated into the patient's medical record
The MASTA web site uses point and click technology.
The features on the MASTA web site http://www.masta.edu.au/ are what we use to service our phone fax users BUT….
if you access the web directly yourself the advantages are:
• 24 hour Travel Health Information Access
• Immediate Travel Health Information Access
• Fact Sheets, Outbreak Reports, Discussion Groups & Lots More!
• No Phone or Fax Costs for You!
For NON web subscribers
MASTA prefers ALL Travel Brief requests be e-mailed (masta@masta.edu.au) or faxed (02 9948 4268).
Please note: Emailed responses will retain the coloured Malaria Maps but this colour is lost in fax transmission

MASTA developed and distributes Mosiguard
Mosiguard is a new insect repellent derived from the oils of Lemon Eucalyptus, Nature's own insect repellent. Extensive testing by world leaders in insect repellent research proves Mosiguard to be powerful, effective and safe for all the family (aged 12 months or over - approved for ages 3 months and older in UK)
Mosiguard is produced from a natural and renewable resource
Mosiguard is kind to your skin, but, as with any skin application, if rash occurs then you should discontinue further use. Avoid contact with the eyes.
Mosiguard is available in 2 different formulations which all provide effective protection for at least 6 hours, but 10 hours or more under field conditions. This is easily superior to all other natural repellents and is equivalent to, or better than, all synthetic repellents.
Mosiguard is DEET-free, so it won’t dissolve or damage your sunglasses or expensive synthetic garments like swimwear, sportswear, fishing gear or your golf club grip!
